Tuesday:
Alyce and I went into the city for coffee and to do things, and we wanted to go buy our History teacher's office to get our grades, but no luck. He wasn't there. So we went to the computer lab for an hour or so, then went by Kaufland and then Restaurant zum Stern, where we ate yummy Italian food and I had tiramisu! Then we went home, and I spent the night reading Harry Potter and such. My asshole neighbor was playing his music really loud, so I didn't get to sleep around 3...Blah...
Wednesday:
I woke up around 11 or something...Then Alyce and I went into the city and got coffee...It's the first step of any day! Then we went to our history teacher's office and got our grades for last semester...A- and a B+ which we sort of kind of don't deserve but I was glad to get anyway...
Then it was time for the Great Shipping Adventure! We went to Argonnen and Tabea picked us and all of our baggage up and drove us to the post office. The lady behind the counter convinced us it would be easier/cheaper to tape and tie our lighter boxes together to get them in the 10-20 kilo range. So Tabea, Alyce, and I spent the next hour and a half on the floor wrestling with twine and packing tape. But it was worth it, I think collectively Alyce and I saved over €100!

After that, Tabea dropped us off at Argonnen again and I walked with Tara and Dietmar to Lidl to buy things. I got erm...things...Then Tara and I walked to the building-supply store across the street to get cigarettes. We came back to the dorm and Dietmar made sandwiches with his sandwich-maker.

Then I walked with Alyce to Burger King so she could get dinner, and I had a milkshake. I came back to my room, read a chapter of Harry Potter, then fell asleep until 3 AM...whoops...I already got my 6 hours of sleep and it is 4 AM...But I showered and am now chatting with Valerie and Scott. Wheeeeeee!
--My mom got a new job. Back in Cullman, so this means she won't be able to eat lunch with me at Klingler's any more. Booo. But, she is making more money and saving 2 hours of commuting time a day, so that is good...But I will miss eating turtle cheesecake with her!

--Britney Spears really, really should know better than to fuck with Johnny Depp. I mean, seriously.

Showing up at his movie premiere looking like hell and wearing a shirt that refers to her "baby hatch" (thanks for that term, E! Online!) as a golden ticket? She will be lucky to escape death. You know Johnny Depp has a trained squad of hit-ninjas that he will send to kill her once she drops her spawn. Her mansion will be in ruins and she and K.Fed will be gutted. The ninjas will take the babies formerly known as BitBit and Peanut Jr. to Paris to be raised by Mr. Depp and Vanessa Paradis, where they will rename the twins Celestine and Jean-Marc, and they will play polo and take dance lessons instead of eating Cheetohs and going frog-gigging.
--Speaking of Mr. Depp and the new version of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," I think the movie looks like a big pile of ass. All I have seen so far have been stills, but my God, what did they do to Johnny Depp? He looks like a blood-drinking transsexual.

--Mrs. Bush Seeks to Empower African Women. Hi, Mrs. Bush. I would like to say a couple of things: If you want to empower African women, start by having your husband give more to his AIDS initiative than the $15 billion over 5 years. We spend $3 billion dollars a year trying to end an epidemic that affects the entire world, but spend $87 billion in a couple of months to bomb and then rebuild a country that did nothing to us? Priorities, eh? And have your husband reduce, if not downright cancel, the crippling debt that is facing African countries today. Seriously. Then, if you are really trying to empower women, I demand that this money not be given to organizations affiliated with the Catholic church. It's a misogynistic organization. Not to mention they seem to focus more on helping AIDS orphans than actually promoting healthy sexual habits among the population (no, abstinence isn't a sexual habit. It's a lack thereof.). Prevent the cause of so much suffering, don't slap a band-aid on there and say walk it off...Oh man, Laura, there is so much good you could do were you not Republican...

--I have been dreaming of reaching home after a variety of obstacles for 2 nights in a row now. Tonight I dreamt I was in a snowy labyrinth and had to walk through it barefoot, and go underground and avoid looming danger to make it home. Odd.
13 days.

I assume you are referring to Laura Bush, or "Marmie Useless" as I will refer to her from now on. Agreed. I would say she needed a good beating if that weren't terribly wrong, and I am sure Georgie hit her a few times in his coke-fiend phase...
Which other movies was he a bloodless transsexual in? I know he was odd-looking in Edward Scissorhands, but that movie was amazing. He just looked dirty in What's Eating Gilbert Grape, lol...
Cheesecake wins, so do the Chemical Brothers. The picture is something being galvanized! Hope all is well!

i <3 chemical brothers. my favorite song of theirs, however, is "out of control" featuring bernard summer (?) from new order. /music geekery.
i think the chocolate factory is for children. and the kiddies can't handle sexydepp. the guy has mellowed and wants to make lots of dinero for his probably way-too-cute kids with france's kylie minogue, miss vanessa paradis. hell, even her last name translates to paradise--how could she not be an actress/model with a last name like that? surely she must have changed it.
this was an overall snarkfill post, perhaps the snarkiest pop culture-related entry i've seen in a while.
i'd join in the fun but i've been working Xcore at my internship. lots of fun, of course, but it means i have zero time for my normal snark and chatting with peeps.

Roald Dahl might have written for children, but his stuff is dark. I think the children could handle a bit of dark, sexy Depp, there was no need to make him into Michael Jackson. Because that's not dark, that's downright terrifying.
Yes, I have noticed an overall lack of Grubkova online. It sucks, but I am glad you are enjoying that internship!

A Labyrinth for Aaron
Through dangers untold and hardships unnumbered, I have fought my way here to the airplane beyond the German City to take back the life that you have stolen, for my will is as strong as yours, and my country is as great. You have no power over me.Another thought...

Re: A Labyrinth for Aaron
Yay. And thus, unto the nightclubs we shall commend ourselves. Our bodies made only to dance and to sweat and to ingest the bitters of alcohols. Verily we shall go forth, clad in black and perhaps sparkles, unto the bars of Ybor.Oh yes, it will be fun indeed.
Mwahahaha.

Re: A Labyrinth for Aaron
Hurrah for nightclubs! I have been to one (1) in my entire time here, and it sucked because the music, atmosphere, and people sucked. So, I can't wait.Except for the bitters of alcohols, I legally have to wait for those...DAMMIT!
But yes, fun shall be had!

the DHL picture-- WTF
• the man is wearing tweed. HORRIBLE
• the woman's high beams are on
after britney pops out her facehugger of a baby, I hope the world realizes what a terrible thing has befallen it, and subsequently yoinks her baby maker and plugs her baby hatch with a cast-iron stopper.
as for Depp, I think they went a little overboard with the makeup and post-production - from what I've seen so far. Also, nobody will ever be able to put a spark into that character like Gene Wilder:

And I was hoping that she'd've been spayed after the music video for "Do Somethin'," because my God, those genes need to be stopped. And Kevin Federline? Take him behind the barn and shoot him. This is what my grandfather always did to stray dogs who impregnated things...
And I totally agree about the new Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. It looks too over done. Gene Wilder was the best.
